A quantitative market survey of 4500+ households, conducted in 2003 by Harris Interactive Inc., revealed that 30% of households have an average of 1.4 cases of nosebleeds, and most of the nose bleeds occurred about 8.75 times per year.

To stop nose bleeds the current Australian sufferer is resorting to the use of cotton products. These cotton products don’t help the clotting mechanism, they don’t adsorb blood, are not sterile ( leads to infections), and when mixed with blood they dry and stick to the inside of the nostrils causing re-bleeds on removal.

NasalCEASE, uses calcium alginate enforcing the clotting cascade, stopping the nosebleed within 30 seconds, the ionic nature of the exchange cleans the wound while the sodium ion exchanged with the calcium ion, jellifies in the dressing making it easy to remove without re bleeding.
